Season 2 starts April 12! Watch it. Check out the site HERE. I love what Jamie is doing, changing communities by changing what schools are serving kids and helping people learn how to cook delicious, wholesome food. LOVE IT!
does NOT choose Jif!
Check your labels people! Don't buy foods with any kind of hydrogenated oils, mono- and diglycerides . Hydrogenated oils are silent killers....linked to diabetes, cancer and heart disease. They interrupt the absorption of healthy fats that your body needs..for an awesome article on hydrogenated oils...click HERE seriously, hydrogenated oils are causing major havoc on our bodies.
I buy my peanut butter fresh ground from my local natural food store. It does NOT seperate like the natural peanut butters in jars found in stores, (don't ask me why though).
Check the labels of your favorite peanut butter in the store, I guarantee you it has hydrogenated oils, and most likely sugar. No thanks. As a matter of fact, the smell of store bought peanut butter makes me gag a little. Sorry, had to share.
Jif has hydrogenated oils, mono- and diglycerides and sugar......NOT what a choosy mom would choose.

Unless you've been living in a cave, you know how important it is to get your daily dose of fiber (25 grams to be exact!). I always try to get at least the recommended daily allowance but let's face it folks, it ain't always easy.
I like to start the day with a 'fiber bang'! (so to speak)...I try to get the bulk of my fiber (no pun intended) in for the day in my morning meal. Most mornings I have either 1 of 2 things......
my favorite Trader Joe's Cranberry Apple fiber muffins.....
You get a whopping 13! grams of fiber per muffin. It doesn't matter that they look like hockey pucks, the important thing here is that they don't taste like hockey pucks.
If I'm not having a Trader Joe muffin, I eat All Bran cereal......I know what you're thinking people, it really does taste good.
and just like TJ (that's what I like to call him) and his muffins, this cereal also has 13 grams of fiber per serving. Not for the faint of heart I tell ya.
On the run and need something a little sweet?
How 'bout some fiber gummies!! 5 grams of fiber per 2 gummies!
Dry roasted edamame, a great 'on the go' snack.....8 grams of fiber per 1/4cup!!
I usually try to throw in a little benefiber too....this stuff really does dissolve to absolutely nothing and tastes like nothing too!! 3 grams of fiber per "stick".
Come on people, go get your fiber on!
